Above photo – First night in Baja in San Felipe – that was the view out of our camper. Literally camping on the beach!
We recently had the opportunity to take a few weeks and head down to Baja, Mexico. The thought of going to Baja was exciting. It was also even perhaps a bit scary. We had never driven into Mexico before. We do not personally know anyone who has either. We’d run into a few people who used to go into Baja but not anymore. You know, its not safe. (Heard this way too often we actually stopped telling people we were going). It seemed like people who have never even gone to Baja were telling us how dangerous it was.
We spent a few weeks (almost 2 full weeks) in Baja and it was an incredible journey and met some incredible people. The only time it was scary was when you are driving on a narrow 9ft road and a semi truck is coming towards you and in front of you is a huge pot hole. Yikes! Oh and there is no shoulder.
